Ikeda Town in Imadate County is a town where the culture of the traditional performing art of Noh lives on. A notable feature of the town's geography is that approximately 90% of the town is mountainous. Ikeda Town in Imadate County is also actively involved in organic farming. Rather than each farmer taking on organic farming individually, the town as a whole is taking an active role. Tourist attractions in the town include the Noh Mask Museum, and leisure facilities include the Shinbo Family Ski Resort. An important event in the town is the Mizuumi Dengaku and Noh Dance. This is a traditional event that is also designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan. Other events held here include the Ikeda Noh Village Marathon.
