Awara City, Fukui Prefecture, is located at the northernmost tip of Fukui Prefecture, bordering Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to the north and Sakai City to the south. Surrounded by nature, including the majestic Sea of Japan, tranquil lakes and rivers, and lush mountains, the city enjoys a relatively warm climate within the Hokuriku region, with longer hours of sunshine from May to October than Tokyo, making it an excellent meteorological environment. This region is home to many high-quality hot springs, and some of the town's signature products include Awara Onsen Beauty Water, which uses hot spring water, and Awara Onsen Bread, baked using hot spring water for drinking. The city also hosts many hot spring-related events and festivals, such as the Awara Onsen Spring Festival and the Awara Yukake Festival, attracting many tourists from all over the country.
