Ozu City in Ehime Prefecture is surrounded by mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level, and boasts exceptionally clean air and a rich natural environment. Agriculture is the primary industry, but the city also boasts a strong presence in the electronics and lumber industries, with factories of large corporations dotting the landscape. Key local specialties include shigure and pufferfish. While pufferfish is regularly shipped to Hiroshima, it is also enjoyed locally. It is so familiar and beloved that there are even restaurants in the city center that specialize in pufferfish. Tourist attractions in the city include Ozu Castle, Ozu Red Brick Museum, Garyu Sanso Villa, and Nagahama Ohashi Bridge. Nagahama Ohashi Bridge is known as one of Japan's few road-operated bridges.
