Located about 40km from Matsuyama City in Ehime Prefecture, Uchiko Town in Kita District is crossed by a variety of rivers, large and small, including a Class A river. In 2005, the town merged with surrounding areas, resulting in economic and industrial development. This area, where visitors can enjoy abundant nature, hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Events such as the Ishidatami Higashi Weeping Cherry Blossom Festival and Kawato Rafting are held from spring to summer. The town values nature and hosts a variety of events, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery and early summer on the rivers. The Ikazaki Fireworks Festival and the Yamanokami Fire Festival are also annual fireworks festivals, attracting not only local residents but also many neighboring residents.
