Mutsuzawa rice, peanuts, plums, strawberries, and blueberries are cultivated here. Local specialties include cyclamen, crunchy plums, and bamboo charcoal. Beautiful rows of cherry blossom trees line the Mizusawa River basin, creating a tranquil landscape. In early summer, fireflies dance, casting a mystical glow. The Seated Dainichi Nyorai Statue at Myorakuji Temple is a wooden Buddha statue from the Heian period and is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Yasuragi no Mori offers an observation deck with a panoramic view of Kujukuri Beach, hiking trails, and a campsite. The Mutsuzawa Yuai Marathon is held every February, with many participants aiming to complete the course.
