Kazamaura Village, Shimokita District, is located in the northern part of the Shimokita Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture. Most of the village is surrounded by the Osorezan mountain range, with settlements scattered across the remaining plains. The main settlements are Shimoburo, Ikukuni, and Hebiura. Shimoburo, in particular, has long been famous as a hot spring resort. The mountains surrounding the village include Yahazuyama, Sankaidairayama, and Metakiyama, and rivers include the Metaki River and Ikukuni. The village's main industry is fishing, with monkfish, Japanese flying squid, kelp, and other fish landed at four fishing ports. In addition to fishing, tourism and forestry are also active. The village's main tourist attractions include Shimokita Peninsula Quasi-National Park, Shimoburo Onsen, and Kuwabata Onsen.
