Major tourist attractions include Iris Garden Hanaizumi and Karaito Gozen Historical Park. Iris Garden Hanaizumi hosts various events throughout the year. Every November, they challenge themselves to create the largest jumbo rice balls, roll cakes, and tofu in Japan. Then, in the summer, the Tsugaru Fireworks Festival is held. Aomori Prefecture is famous for its Nebuta Festival, but the number of fireworks on display is just as impressive, drawing in large crowds.
