Yokohama Town in Kamikita District is surrounded by mountains and Mutsu Bay. The town has developed through trade, primarily focused on sea cucumber fishing. Local specialties include Yokohama sea cucumbers and rapeseed flowers. Yokohama sea cucumbers have a slightly different texture than sea cucumbers sold in general markets. Rape blossoms are cultivated in the second largest area in Japan, resulting in a large production volume. The Yokohama Summer Festival Fireworks Display is held every year during the Obon period, and in October, there are also events such as the Yokohama Town Hot-Blooded Business Spirit Festival. The Yokohama Summer Festival Fireworks Display features over 2,000 fireworks. During the day, visitors can enjoy the local specialty, taro stew, and enjoy fun events throughout the day.
