Toyoyama Town in Nishikasugai District borders four cities, including Nagoya City. Although it is the smallest municipality in Aichi Prefecture, the town is home to Nagoya Airport, making it a gateway to the Chubu region and a center of the aviation industry. Numerous historical sites remain within the town, including the Jizo Bodhisattva Statue, a prefectural cultural property; the Cast Birth Buddha; the Funeral Scroll, a town cultural property; and the Aozuka Tomb. Toyoyama Town is also known as the hometown of major league baseball player Ichiro Suzuki. The town is home to Ichiro's memorial museum, I-Fine, which is visited by many fans. Other facilities include the Toyoyama Sky Pool.
