In pursuit of even greater earthquake resistance, the walls are constructed using shear walls certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, which are 4.3 times stronger than the already earthquake-resistant 2x4. This achieves seismic resistance that is approximately 40% greater than that of the 2x4. By increasing the wall volume from 3.0 times the previous level to 4.3 times the current level, we have increased the building strength by more than 1.4 times. / Toshin Jyukken uses domestic timber for some of its 2x4 panels. The 2x4 construction method was originally developed in North America, and as such, it uses almost 100% imported materials. However, by incorporating domestic timber into its construction, Toshin Jyukken is actively working to protect Japan's forests. / Toshin Jyukken built its own panel factory in Inazawa City, where its headquarters are located. Under strict quality control, the company has established a system for ensuring a stable supply of high-quality panels. While traditional wooden frame construction was the norm in Japanese homebuilding, Toshin Jyukken has focused on 2x4 housing, which is extremely resilient against earthquakes, since its inception, and has built a total of approximately 24,000 homes to date. / All of Toshin Jyukken's residential foundations are proprietary slab foundations. The foundation is strong, with thick steel bars running vertically and horizontally throughout the entire building, and the entire floor covered with 15cm thick reinforced concrete. By integrating and covering the entire area under the floor, the entire house is firmly supported. A moisture-proof sheet is also installed over the entire foundation, blocking out moisture from the ground and termites. | |||||
